He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Sr. Esquibel and Mary Jasso Esquibel; his son Stephen Esquibel; and his sister Julie Sanders. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Hudson Esquibel; his children, Glenda Esquivel, Vickie Wilson, Michael, Terry and Eric Esquibel; and his siblings, Linda Craig, Mary Craig, Dora Craig, Nancy Burgess, Lisa Esquivel, Steve Esquivel, Jimmy Esquivel, Tony Esquivel, Johnny Esquivel and Pete Esquivel. He is also survived by thirteen grandkids; several great grandkids.
