She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Russell Childers and Martha Rean Calaway Childers; her husband Robert Nordin, Jr.; and her brothers, Danny Childers and Stanley Childers.
She is survived by: her children, Brandon Young (Kristen) of Apex, NC and Dani Huber (C. J.) of White Hall; her sisters, Marvlyn Underwood, Dana Williams of Stuttgart and Tammie Appleberry of Piedmont, OK; her grandchildren, Jonah Jurjens, Brae Young, Anna Jurjens, Hannah Young, Charlotte Young and Shelby Huber; and her stepgrandchildren, Jude Melvin and Ricky Simmons. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
