She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Chidester and Hazel Morman Chidester; her husband Lawrence Edward Ashcraft; and her siblings, Johnny Chidester and Ernestine Tucker.

She is survived by: her daughter Tanya Ashcraft Holloway (Virgil A. Holloway Jr.); her granddaughter Savannah Holloway; and her sister Sue Gore.
