She was predeceased by: her parents, Arvil Smith and Della Mae Smith (Bolin); her husband Carl Gibson; her stepfather Lawrence Eddings; and her siblings, Dallas, Denver, Devoe Smith and Birdie Iris.
She is survived by: her children, Neal Gibson (June), Dallas Gibson (Joebill), Doug Gibson (Diana), Sheila Hurd and Judy Christie (Kirk); her brother Cornelious Carl Smith; her grandchildren, Angela Greenhaw (Mark), Keith Bell (Nikki), Heather Bell, Brad Gibson (Casey), Heath Hurd and Lukas Gibson; her great grandchildren, Alexis Martin (Brent), Colby Wilkinson, Brooklyn Carter, Levi Bell, Havannah Greenhaw, Cole Gibson, Jackson Hurd and Cara Gibson; and her great great grandchild Tinsley Martin. She is also survived by numerous step siblings, extended relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Western Grove Cemetery Fund or Rock Haven Bible Camp.
