He is survived by: his wife Janie Smothers (Gladden) of Western Grove; his siblings, Roger Smothers of Harrison and Betty Bing (Charlie) of Harrison; his children, Jill (Smothers), LeeLee Holt of Harrison, Erin (Smothers), Polly Slape (Garner) of Harrison and Kristi Garner of Western Grove; his grandchildren, Emily (Slape), Justin Rainbolt, Aimee Slape, Jamie Slape, Derek Jones, Addie Garner, Shawn McBee, Olivia Eddings, Hannah Melton, Kenedi Melton and Allie Melton; and his great grandchildren, Richard James Slape, Isaac Rainbolt and Charlotte Slape. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends.
