She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Eugene Shafer and Wilhemenia Oduska Shafer; her husband Milton "Dandy"; and her brothers, Robert and J. W. Shafer.
She is survived by: her daughter Susan Person (Billy); her granddaughters, Kellie Burnett (Terry), Nina Taylor (Kevin) and Jill Fouse (Tim); her great grandchildren, Garretson Taylor, Molly Jones (Timothy), Macy Fouse and Meg Fouse; and her great great grandchild Willis Garretson Taylor. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
