With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Roy Thompson of West Memphis, Arkansas, born in Marked Tree, Arkansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 1, 2024 at the age of 79. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland Oscar and Thelma West Thompson; his son Jeff Thompson; and his siblings, Eugene, Freddie, Perry Thompson, Janie Deaton and Mary May.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Ann Thompson; his daughter Pam Goodman; his siblings, Cathy Lee (Jerry), Susan Kennedy, Becky Lawson, Joyce Kennedy (Bobby), Joann Ott and Robert Thompson (Dianne); his grandchildren, Tyler Thompson, Billy May and Hunter Goodman; and his great grandchildren, Bentley Goodman, Michael Goodman and Liliana Goodman.
In Lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests a donation be made to the American Alzheimer's Association or to the Furgiven Animal Sanctuary.
