He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Egar Mckay and Anna May Cissel Mckay of West Memphis, AR.; his daughter Meredith Mckay Dunavant of West Memphis, AR; and his siblings, Cleo Hatchett of West Memphis, AR, Wilma "Jeanie" Proctor of Nashville, TN and Jimmy Mckay of Portageville, MO.

He is survived by: his wife Deborah Mckay of West Memphis, AR; his son John Mckay; his brother Teddy Joe Mckay of Memphis, TN; and his grandchildren, Dylan Dunavant, Alexis Mckay, Bradley Sexton, Lauren Mckay, Alex Sexton and Chris Sexton. He is also survived by two great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
