He was predeceased by: his parents, Bobby Joe Bowden and LaNell Henderson Bowden; and his brother Bobby Joe Bowden Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Michael Bowden Jr., Brian Bowden and Kristy Swindle; his grandchildren, Sydney Swindle, Ty Swindle, Hunter Gross, Brayden Bowden, Trae Bowden, Cameron Bowden, Bransen Bowden and Carson Bowden; his brother Greg Bowden; and his riding buddy Art Simon. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
