John Vella Jr. Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Vella Jr. in West Memphis, Arkansas, born in Mobile, Alabama, who passed away on February 17, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Francis and Shirley Vella (Arata); and his siblings, Lynn Marie and David. He is survived by: his children, Johnny Vella (Heather) of Mobile, AL and Allie Abbott (Bryan); his grandchildren, Jackson, Jefferson and Knox; and his siblings, Vickie Vella Murray (Johnny), Ann Vella Fonde (Chip) and Charles Christopher Vella. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the VFW. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 at 5:30 PM at the St. Ignatius Catholic Church (3704 SpringHill Ave, Mobile, AL 36608).
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Marion and West Memphis VFW.
