She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Boyer and Ruby Boyer; her daughter Eileen Whatley; and her sisters, Dorothy Spence and Kathleen Waller.
She is survived by: her husband James Heflin; her son Ernest D. Poindexter (Darlene) of Baton Rouge; and her siblings, Henry Boyer (Virginia) of Marianna, John Boyer of Aubrey, Anne Stiles of Hernando, Carrie Eddleman of Aubrey and Doris Jones of Jacksonville. She is also survived by her step children, 13 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
