He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Spears and Maggie Spears of Twist; the mother of his children Laverne Leialoha Akina; his wife Jo Anne Ryder; his siblings, James, Ray, Joe, Sterling Lee, Ruth and Julia; and his son-in-law Randy Baioni.
He is survived by: his sister Helen Lee of Moro, AR; his children, Laverne "Dabin" Drake (Gary) of Omaha, NE, Leilani Ann Scucchi (Matthew) of Lake Village, AR, Lorna "Nunu" Spears Chennault (Johnny Gustavus) of Marion, AR and Carlton Rudolph; his grandchildren, Mallory McCarty (Neal) of Union, MS, Jennifer Thompson (Randy) of Shipman, VA, Randa Baioni of Tallahassee, FL, Wesley Steele of Hughes, AR and Walker Blankenship (Jessica) of Marion, AR; and his great grandchild Reece McCarty of Union, MS..
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Roller-Citizens Funeral Home (201 Pine St, West Memphis, AR 72301). A graveside service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Crittenden Memorial Park (2206 US-64, Marion, AR 72364).
In Lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to Tunnel to Towers.
