She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Hicks, Sr. and Thelma L. Perkins; her siblings, James Hicks, Jr. of Robert, John W. Hawkins, Dorothy Robinson (Oscar), Jessie Hicks, Elvira Gosa, Marvin Hicks and David Hicks; and her daughter-in-law Marilyn Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Victor M. Hawkins, Sr., Thelma Delancey (Michael) and Roosevelt Smith; her siblings, Clifton B. Hawkins (Toni), Thomas Hicks, Jr., Beola Murphy, Clarence Hicks, Willie Hicks, Mitchell Hicks (Candy), George Hicks, Alfred Hicks and Cleodies Hicks; and her sister-in-law Annette Hawkins. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and a host of nephew, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Jackson - Highley Funeral Home Chapel, West Helena Arkansas. A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Desha District Center, Helena Crossing. A burial was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Jackson - Highley Funeral Home Chapel, West Helena Arkansas.
