He was predeceased by: his parents, William Carr and Cora Carr; his siblings, Boyce Carr, John Carr, Tommy Carr and Ann Ginn; and his daughter Donna Buford.

He is survived by: his wife Ruth Marie Carr; his children, David Carr of Corinth, Brian Carr of West Helena, Arkansas, Doris James (Kenny) of West Helena and Sandy Daugherty (Trey) of Hardy, Arkansas; and his sisters, Shirley Mullins (Jack) of Helena, Mary Martin (George) of Olive Branch and Lois Phillips (Danny) of West Helena, Arkansas. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; many great grandchildren.
