It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Opal Brewer (West Helena, Arkansas), who passed away on June 18, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie Rozell and Louise Houghton Rozell; her husband Alex Brewer, Sr.; her daughter Maxine; her stepdaughter Betty Jean; her grandchildren, Cornell, Kezarius and Lisa; and her siblings, Berthella Porter, Ester Covington, Jessie Mae Lacey and George Rozell.
She is survived by: her stepmother Ada Mae Swanigan-Rozell; and her children, Shirley, Dexter (Patricia), Blanche, Bobby, Lynn (Liz), Jess, Sr., Tracy, Rhonda (David) of Omaha, NE, Alex, Jr. (Sandra), Shannon (Gayle) of Houston, TX, Patricia, Kent (BeBe) of Memphis, TN and Arlisha. She is also survived by 58 grandchildren, 100 great grandchildren, and a host of great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
