She was predeceased by: her parents, Estella Hester and William Hester; and her siblings, Odella Kennedy, Theola Perez, Ora Lee Sample, Earl Hester, James Hester, Hosey Hester, Christine Martin, Clattie Banks, Shirley McDade, Alsie Preston and Gloria Riley.
She is survived by: her children, Carlos Drayton of Tupelo, Mississippi and Keena Lewis of Washington, D. C.; her pet Bishop Drayton; and her siblings, Jessie Calvin of Sacramento, California, Linda Straughn (Johnny) of Omaha, Nebraska, Johnny Lee Hester (Aline) of Chicago, Illinois and Walter Hester of Chicago, Illinois. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
