It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johnnie Mae Franklin (West Helena, Arkansas), born in Thomasville, Georgia, who passed away on August 2, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Annie Mae James and Lucious Coleman; her husband Jimmie Ray Franklin; her daughter Felecia Michelle Morehead; her stepdaughter Patricia Ann Hunter; and her son Melwatt Morehead, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Sabrena Wade, Anthony (Willie Jean), Kevin (Pamela) and Rodney Morehead; and her sisters, Julia White of Florida, Irene Monroe of California and Marie Lewis of California. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
