John Griffin Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Griffin (West Helena, Arkansas), born in Beattyville, Kentucky, who passed away on October 14, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Myrtle Phillips Griffin and Edgar Griffin; his son John Edgar Griffin; and his siblings, Larry Griffin, Lorene Gough, Norma Thacker, Geroldine Durbin, Cleta Newton and Edith Carmichael.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Galloway Griffin; his children, James Griffin of Lake City, Steve Griffin (Sharon) of Lexa, Arkansas and Debbie Smith of Jonesboro, Arkansas; his grandchildren, Nickie Russell (Kurt), James Griffin, Jr., Devin Griffin (Haley), Candi Griffin, Amanda Holt, Jeremy Newsom (Morgan), Tyler Griffin, Nolan Smith and Clay Farrer (Allison); and his sisters, Evelyn Galloway (Eddie) and Sophia Herald. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren; two great- great grandchildren.
