He was predeceased by: his brother Kenneth Allen; and his parents, Andrew Allen and Edith Allen. He is survived by: his wife Donna Young Allen; his children, Lanny Kenneth Allen (Kelly), Joshua Perry Allen and Jessica Lee Allen; his grandchild Ashley Nicole Vickers; his brother Ricky Allen; and his grandsons, Hunter Allen and Perry Allen. He is also survived by friends, caregivers and coaching friends.
In lieu of flowers, an endowment account has been set up at the Southern Arkansas University Foundation in Jimmy Allen's name to support financially needy students who have evidenced self-discipline and a strong work ethic with a commitment to improve their lives.
