It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jimmie Lee Smith (West Helena, Arkansas), who passed away on June 30, 2023, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Smith, Sr. and Hattie Smith, Sr.; his siblings, Willie Lee Smith (June Smith), Robert Smith, Joe Smith, Jr., Larry, Bertha Smith-Strong (Archie Lee Smith) and Lillie Lee Smith-Stewart; his brothers-in-law, Robert Shears and Junior Stewart; and his niece Brandy Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Jimmy Lee Smith, Jr. (Deidra) of Arlington, TX, Shalonda Graham (Lakedron) of West Helena, AR, Shania Smith of Little Rock, AR, Valerie Martinez (Brian) of Clarksdale, MS, Antonio Smith of Elaine, AR and Tremaine Smith of Elaine, AR; his sisters, Evangelist Kathleen Jones (Fletcher) of Helena, AR and Delores Shears of Cabot, AR; and his siblings-in-law, Beverly Smith of Crumrod, AR, Leechell Smith of Elaine, AR, Essie Saffore of St. Louis, MO, Otis West (June) of Yakima, WA, Curtis Stewart of Flint Michigan and Ellis Paine of St. Louis, MO. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces nephews, cousins and many friends.
