He was predeceased by: his parents, Quincy Thompson and Carrie Thompson; his son Quincy Thompson; and his siblings, Charles Thompson and Etta Thompson.
He is survived by: his children, Alfonza B. Thompson, Alice A. Thompson, Linda K. Scoggins, Joseph Thompson and Cheryl Lynn Thompson; and his siblings, Emma Jean Thompson, Vera White, Vernetta Saunders, Paris Thompson, Brenda Haigler, Ruben Bennett, Alfonzo Thompson and Rae Evelyn King.
