She was predeceased by: her parents, Falba Love Gober Turner and Arvie Lee Turner, Sr.; her husband J. W. "Pete" Smart; her brother Arvie Lee Turner, Jr.; her children, Robert and Patsy; and her great grandchild Sarah James Warren.

She is survived by: her son Larry (Lou Smart) of West Helena; and her grandchildren, Terri Baker (David) of Benton, Jay Cox (Leah) of Newport, Christian Johnson (Jason) of Biloxi, Ashley Warren (James) of Wooster, Bill Sutterfield of Park City, Utah, Kelli Sampson (James) of Natchitoches and Tommy Sutterfield (Eugenia) of Paragould.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the West Helena Methodist Church.
