He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Ward and Pauline Ward (Polly); his wife Patty Wood Ward; his children, Melinda Szathmary (Laszlo), George Calvin Ward, III and Kerry Ward (Laura); and his sister Jean Carolyn Ellis. He was also cherished by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Twin City Church of Christ in West Helena.
