She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Austin and Pearl Brooks; her husband Edward L. Glass; and her son Edward Peter Glass. She is survived by: her children, Vernell Glass Kelly, Stephanie Glass Burns (Eric), Lester Glass and Jolanda Glass; her grandchildren, Marcus Green, Carissa Kelly, Azya Glass, Brooks Burns and Jacob Glass; her brother Turhan Heard; and her brother-in-law William Duke Glass.
