He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ashley and Jan Snyder Ashley; his wife Patsy Ashley; and his son Jeffrey Ashley. He is survived by: his sons, Russell Ashley (Kimberly) of Newton, John Ashley (Kathy) of Hampshire and David Ashley of Island Lake, Illinois; and his grandchildren, Nicole Herrera, Johnny Ashley, Jeremiah Ashley, Andrew Ashley, Jesse Ashley and Brianna Nielson. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
