He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Sloan and Martha Sloan (Mobely); and his sister Loretta. He is survived by: his wife Flarnice Belle Melson; his daughters, Tammy Sloan (Mike), Cammy Barbacovi and Michelle Shelley (Dexter); his siblings, Leslie, Sherman, Roland and Ruby; his grandchildren, Bryan, Krystal, Brenda, Gary Wayne, Kandis and Dani; and his great grandchildren, Destiny, Desirae, Brooklynn and Kaykeann. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
