He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie Mills and Amy Mills (Evans); his wife Peggy Mills (Wilhite); his brothers, Franklin and Ricky Mills; his son Scotty Mills; and his great grandchild Kaitlyn Bornhoft.

He is survived by: his former spouse Miss Peggy Louise Wilhite; his children, Terry Mills (Rhonda) of Jonesboro and Marsha Bornhoft (William) of Harrisburg; his grandchildren, Nacole, Brooke, Chance, Jessica, Liz and Taylor; and his great grandchildren, Axel, Kellan, CaliJo, Lucy, Elsie, Lola, Vivian, Ava, River Jo and Leighton.
