He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Lee Cathey and Lola Creed Cathey; and his siblings, Aubra Cathey, Beadie Rice and Myrtle Crain.
He is survived by: his wife Joette Wallace Cathey; his children, Alesia Cathey Lassiter (Donald Lee) of Warren, AR and Tony Cathey (Kim) of Warren, AR.; his grandchildren, Jeff Cathey (Holly), Joey Cathey (Cassidy), Brannigan Dixon (Brian) and Marqus Lassiter; and his stepgrandchildren, Megan Hollaway (Nick) and Justin Smith. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
