He was predeceased by: his parents, Bobby Ray and Charity Hope Davis Hopkins; his son Sammy Hopkins, Jr.; his grandchildren, Jodie Ray Carlock, Jr. (JJ) and Emily Mohl; and his sister Kasie Gentry.
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Michelle Armenta, Saprina Hall, Bobby Hopkins, Misty Carlock and Christy Chrisp; and his siblings, Donna Standridge, Patricia Turner (Leo), Matti Folsom (WC), Ricky Hopkins (Reba), Jimmy Hopkins and Trini Alexander. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
