He is survived by: his spouse Anda Pucka Whitener August; his children, Shawn Romine (Heather) of Greenbrier, Douglas Whitener II of Searcy, Casey Whitener of Searcy and Brianna Whitener; his grandsons, Grayson and Hudson Romine; his parents, Teddie Smith Sandifer of Searcy and Dorman Whitener (Edite) of Jasper, AL; and his sisters, Sheila Jennings (Bart) of Searcy, Dixie Bryant (Rick) of Hillsboro, MO and Nancy Duren (Randy) of Benton, AR. He is also survived by many extended family and friends.
