With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Whitmire (Walnut Ridge, Arkansas), born in Hoxie, Arkansas, who passed away on August 18, 2019 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bill Kissee and Pearl Hutsell Kissee; her husband Bruce Whitmire; her son Jerry Whitmire; her grandsons, David and Bobby Whitmire; her siblings, Neal Kissee, J. W. Kissee, Katherine Burley and Merl Dean Blackburn; and her son-in-law Larry Hibbard.
She is survived by: her daughter Ramona Hibbard of Portia; her grandchildren, Terry Hibbard (Carrol) of Jonesboro, Adam Whitmire of Jonesboro and Sondra Stanphil of Georgia; her great grandchildren, Hailey, Garrison, Harleigh and Cooper; and her siblings, Phil Kissee (Connie) of Walnut Ridge, Bobby Kissee (Sandy) of Illinois, JoAnn Ehrman of Mountain Home and Alice Anglin (Wiley) of Hoxie. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
