He was predeceased by: his father James Horace Smith; his siblings, Norma Jean Smith, Jo Ann Smithee (Boyce), James Floyd Smith and Danny Ray Smith; and his son Michael Corey Smith.
He is survived by: his daughter Kerrie Hancock (Ronnie) of Hoxie; his siblings, Herbert H. Smith (Barbara) of Walnut Ridge and Sherry Corbett (Stanley) of Alicia; his grandson Garett Smith of Paragould; and his sister-in-law Mildred Smith. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
