He is survived by: his wife Patricia Dobbs; his daughter Mary Michelle Assiter (Tim) of Lubbock, Texas; his siblings, William Nichols of St. Louis and Beverly Mayberry (Don) of St. Louis; and his grandchildren, Hampton Nichols Roy, Lawrence Alexander Nichols, Constance Helena Roy and Sydney Ellen Nichols.
