He was predeceased by: his father John Allen Fender, Sr.; and his brother Greg Fender. He is survived by: his wife Mel; his son Kai Rorex (Amy) of Walnut Ridge; his sisters, Diana "Dink" Morgan (Terry) of Jonesboro and Bonita Hoss of Walnut Ridge; and his grandchildren, K. J. and Finn.
