He was predeceased by: his parents, George Midgett and Thelma Walker Midgett; and his sisters, Carol Finley and Mary Williams. He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Coker (Jon) of Walnut Ridge, David Midgett of Walnut Ridge and Charles Rawlings of Holt, Missouri; and his grandchildren, Danielle Denham, William Midgett, Amanda Miller and James Rawlings. He is also survived by two great grandchildren.
