He was predeceased by: his parents, L. D. (Lucille Yankee) and Blytheville; and his brother Leonard Yankee. He is survived by: his wife Dina Rose; his stepchildren, Ashley Taylor (Caleb), Adam Hufstedler (Vanessa) and Clayton Hufstedler; his brothers, Johnny Yankee (Ann) and Jimmy Yankee; his grandsons, Ty, Abel, Jase, Grayson and Anson; and his nieces, Wendy Quick (Tim) and Amy Taylor (Phillip). He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

Memorial gifts in remembrance of James may be made to the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House or to any Parkinson's Foundation./30/1959.
