He was predeceased by: his parents, Elson Mitchell and Maudie Prater Mitchell; his stepdaughter Amber Flock; and his sisters, Joyce Mills and Peggy Mitchell.
He is survived by: his daughter Kristi Mitchell; his stepson Matt Flock; his grandchildren, Corey Thrasher and Harlie Jane Mitchell; his niece Callie Gattuso; his great grandchild Layne Thrasher; and his great-nephew Drew Franks (Nadine Ditto).
