He is survived by: his wife Alice; his children, Charley Gates Jr. of Walnut Ridge, David Gates of Walnut Ridge and Glenda Gates of Walnut Ridge; his stepchildren, Levi Lamb of Walnut Ridge and Gene Lamb of Walnut Ridge; his sister Georgia Ann Brown (Robert) of Little Rock; his grandchildren, Kaylon, Dawson, Timothy, Jamie, Jimmy and Jill; and his great grandchildren, Hailey, Elisa and Gene Vincent. He is also survived by other family members and friends.
