It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alfred Larkin Whitmire of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, who passed away on June 30, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Azro Whitmire and Dovie Whitmire (Edwards); and his former wife Melba Whitmire (Coats). He is survived by: his wife Patricia Gilbreth (Walnut Ridge); his daughter Luanne (George) Behrens; his grandchildren, Heather Smith (Maynard) of Geneseo, IL, Amber Maynard, Tiffany (Behrens), Stees, Melissa (Daniel), Whitford and Eric (Tabatha); his great grandchildren, Brennen, Easton and Addison Smith; his grandchildren, Nathan, Gavin, Maddie Stees, Ben, Evie Whitford and Lennon Behrens; his stepchildren, Leslie (Mike) and Jimmy Oldham; his stepgrandchildren, Kelsie Anthony (Jeff), Chase Smith (Brooke), Dylan Smith (Maegan), Tyler Oldham and Flora Oldham; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Avrie, Ellis Anthony and Waylon Smith.
