She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Alva Shaid and Linnie Belle Johnson. She is survived by: her son Lee Gratton Steelgrave (Alicia Steelgrave); her sister Ellen Neal (Ted); and her aunt Betty Ann Dublin of Texas. She is also survived by thirteen cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Karen's name to any animal rescue/shelter of your choice.
