He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Bo Jennings and Audry Thames Jennings. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Stokes Jennings; his children, Tammy Lynn Jennings of Waldron, Lisa Fry of Northwest Arkansas, Donnie Edward Jennings, Jr. of Waldron, Bill Kevin Jennings of Waldron and James Jennings of Mena; and his siblings, Sue Pevy, Natalie Merrinon of Mississippi, Brenda Thompson of Peel, Arkansas and Timmy Jennings of Mississippi. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
