He was predeceased by: his parents, Joel Thomas and Maggie Virdell Wright (Bissell); his son Jay Thomas Wright; his grandson C. J. Wright; his sister Carrie Crisp; and his daughters-in-law, Lynn Tatom and Toni Vines Tatom.
He is survived by: his wife Mollie Kay Wright of Waldo; his children, Thomas Tatom of Magnolia, Jewel D. Tatom of Waldo and Karen Wright Glasgow of Magnolia; his sisters, Incy Johnson of Carrollton, Dorothy Chaffin (Lyndell) of Magnolia and Phyllis Spriggs (Dennis) of Magnolia; his brothers-in-law, James Crisp of Magnolia and George McGough (Martha) of Bella Vista; his grandchildren, Dillon Tatom of Taylor, Jarod Tatom of Waldo, Brent Armstrong (April) of Nashville, Michael Glasgow of Dierks, Lynn Carpenter (Kyle) of Benton, Ashley Turnage (Waylon) of Waldo, Story Bissell (Remington) of Minden, Hayley Tatom (Jerry) of Waldo and Emilee Tatom (Mike) of Magnolia; and his nephew Tony Madlock of Camden. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
