He was predeceased by: his parents, James Newton and Elsie Freeman (Bell); and his sisters, Louise Rasdon, Patsy Pounders, Ginger Moore and Karen Freeman.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Freeman (Greer); his daughters, Marie Renee Northup of California, Lora Tidwell of Louisiana, Elaine Isaac of Arkansas, Lea Chandra of Texas and Twila Chatman; and his siblings, Larry Freeman of Tennessee, Jerry Freeman of Arkansas and Kathy Sue Plessinger. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
