He was predeceased by: his parents, Loyd Rennie Batterton and Beulah Arenda Batterton (Emery); his wife Peggy Jean McNair; his son JoJo Batterton; and his siblings, Wilma Dean Brown, Wanda "Blondie" Guffey, Sue Billings, Smokey Batterton and Jewell Batterton.
He is survived by: his children, Terry Batterton (Tammy) of Viola, Arkansas and Jurlene Richmond (Ronny) of Viola, Arkansas; his grandchildren, Dustin Richmond (Donia), Misha Rains (Lucas), Tanner Batterton (Liz), Kaleigh Batterton and Avery Batterton; and his siblings, Jim Batterton of Viola, Hoppy Batterton of Viola, Arkansas, Janette Schlie (Gary) of Independence and Pam Burns (Larry) of Viola, Arkansas.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
