He was predeceased by: his parents, John Franklin (J. F.) and Elizabeth Cartwright (Scholle); his sisters, Joann C Belz (Richard) of Van Alysten and Betty C Paul (Andrea "Sonny") of Vilonia, Arkansas; his brother-in-law Ralph Kahn of Dallas, Texas; his nephew Gary Franklin Paul of Vilonia; and the mother of his children Joyce Cartwright.
He is survived by: his children, John Franklin Cartwright of Vilonia, Arkansas and Jennifer Lynn Cartwright of Vilonia, Arkansas; his granddaughter Cennedy Brown of Vilonia, Arkansas; and his siblings, Mary Tankersley (Bob) of Vilonia, Patsy Kahn of Dallas, Texas and Jerry Cartwright (Tish) of Vilonia. He is also survived by other nieces, nephews and friends.
