He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Baker and Ollie Carter Baker; his siblings, Lester, Tacker Baker, Earlene Ingram, Lois Smith Cerrato and Helen Glascoe; and his grandson Dale Edward Martin.
He is survived by: his wife Lou (Luphelia Shumate Baker); his daughters, Vickie Strawn (Bob) of Greers Ferry, LaDonna Martin (Jerry) of Romance Arkansas, Terri Strawn (Jeff) of Greers Ferry and Tanya Leggett (Kenneth) of Greenbrier; his grandchildren, Cameron, Kelly, Chester, Courtney, Whitney, Mark, Colby and Brenna; and his sister Glenda Wilson of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Central Arkansas Veterans Affairs System (CAVHS) in Memory of Chester Baker.
