He was predeceased by: his son Phillip Edward Evans; and his siblings, Ambrose Buddy Evans and Bonnie Sellers. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Evans; his children, Bryan Evans (Cara) of West Memphis, Lisa Clayton (Brent) of Wynne and DeAnn Penter (Zach) of Trumann; his daughter-in-law Brooks Evans of Jonesboro; and his grandchildren, Ethan Evans, Makala Clayton, Luke Clayton, MaryBeth Penter, Lawson Penter, Ty McCullough, Noah Evans and Hannah Evans. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.

Memorials may be made to Arkansas Baptist Homes for Children, 9701 W. Markham St., Little Rock, AR 72205.
