He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Smith (Maude Smith) and Kate Smith; and his siblings, James, Virgil Acuff and Mary Etta Rice.
He is survived by: his wife Lena Smith; and his children, Roger Chambers (Debbie) of Cleveland, Samuel Ray (Rhonda) of Nettleton, Wilbur Smith of Atlanta, Georgia, Fran Slocum (David) of Royal, Teresa Hebert (Ricky) of Saucier and Brenda Cummins (Bill) of Drew, Mississippi. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
