He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman H Person and Una Moss Person Boles; his stepfather Carl Boles; and his son David Lee Person. He is survived by: his wife Johnnie Ruth Burnett Person; his granddaughter Leigh Ann Spencer (Brian) of Wynne; and his great grandchildren, Harlee Dianna Futrell and Sadie Brooke Spencer.

Memorials may be made to the Vanndale Baptist Church.
