With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Pete Hurlburt of Van Buren, Arkansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 11, 2024 at the age of 86. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonzo Hurlburt and Jewel Hurlburt (Sharp); his children, Jean Hurlburt and Todd Hurlburt; and his siblings, Della Shaw, Anna Shaw, Dean Hurlburt, Neal Hurlburt and Jody Hurlburt.
He is survived by: his wife Christine Hurlburt; his children, Kaye Gilstrap (Richard) of Van Buren, Dana Morrison of Van Buren, Carissa De'Berry of Van Buren and Aaron Hurlburt of Poteau; and his siblings, Chunky Eden of Antlers, OK, Junior Hurlburt of Sawyer, OK, Billy Hurlburt of Hugo, OK, Eddie Hurlburt of Cloudy, OK and James Hurlburt of Oklahoma City. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Rudy Community Church (6719 AR-282, Rudy, AR 72952). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
